better program for making skins

i have been useing the standard paint program that came on my computer to make my skins but it is rubbish,,, does anyone know ware i can get a free download of a better program to use,,,,

Yeah photoshop is the best but if you can't buy it or find another way of getting it, gimp is the way to go.

Paint Shop Pro for me... but it's not a great proggy. Think I'll try the GIMP you're suggesting.

Try ACDsee photoeditor, its much more easier for me to make the skins compared to adobe photoshop.. xD

i wouldnt say its the best... i mean, GIMP has most of the things PS has and quite a few that it doesnt as far as i can tell. and theres the price difference... free or almost 600 bucks for cs5 or almost 1000 for cs6...


of course you can get the 30 day free trial if you want... im downloading it right now

also try GIMP 2.8. i have just been using it and i really like it. just remember to export (shft+ctrl+e) not save as. for some reason it only lets you save it as and .xcf file and that doesnt work for a skin when putting it on the car.

sorry but from that right there would not help me choose between the 2 other than the usual everyone else does gimp is free that is the ONLY thing better than photoshop and there are many versions you can find online even ebay for it inexpensively. that is how i got my version of photoshop owns gimp plain and simple
